Picture taken 2 years ago in La Habana.

I had a dream to go to Cuba for many years to look some of my roots. But I had never the opportunity to realize it because lack of time or opportunity to go. I always refused to go there for a small period of time… meaning less than 24 months…. Meaning with really no time to really understand to country and its origin.

“Unfortunately” my brother offered me for my 30th birthday a weekend in Cuba. I was living at that time in Chile and he in Central African Republic… and Cuba was just in the middle. We spent 2 days in a Cuban family in La Habana, but of course it was not enough time to like Cuba. On the opposite… it was just enough time to dislike it….
But no matter when, I am sure I will learn one day to love this beautiful island lost in the sea and finally find some traces of my roots… and I enjoy so much salsa dancing ;-)

It might be my next project after Art in All of Us ;-)

All proceeds from sales of pictures will go to the art education project of Art in All of Us (WWW.ARTINALLOFUS.ORG) and/or trusted partner in third world countries
